ZJ Elektra: Top Striker Freestyle Mixtape Vol. 1

Black Mattic, CEO of the parent label Official Hitz Music Group (OHMG) partnered with ZJ Elektra, who recently established her label Elektracute Music Group (EMG) in order to highlight their talents on a mixtape.   Black Mattic: Top Striker Freestyle Mixtape Vol. 1 which was released on the 1st of January 2017 has already begun spreading waves of excitement and musical craze.  Black Mattic known for his lyrical prowess continues to  propel the freestyle game by raising the bar higher with his clever use of storytelling, spitting bars, chopping up rhymes as the beats used also create further musical mayhem to the listeners and yet “mi nuh even use pen or paper” one of the lines he spat on one of the tracks featured on the mixtape.


The mixtape touches on topics ranging from money, guns, girls, reality, marijuana, love and much more.   His freestyles are above the norm yet  he is  able to grab the attention of each and every listener.  The tracks on the mixtape are unique in their own way and each one  has some creative styling that represents Black mattic aka Top Striker to the fullest.  Black Mattic can be heard on different beats ranging from Reggae to R&B to EDM to Alternative to Pop to Dancehall, as he states in one of his freestyles  “Mi rhyme pon anything...raindrops…dog a run” further drawing attention to his versatility and style.


The video for “100 Magic Bars” - one of the tracks on the mixtape was recently released. The video was shot in Jamaica by Robin Chin, with a simple yet powerful look. The viewers are able to focus on the lyrics without being distracted.   The video features Black Mattic, ZJ Elektra, as well as other members from the OHMG Parent Label.   Clad in all white and purple and white in the scenes, the freestyle theme was brought to life with the use of a white backdrop with the EMG label on the wall.  Additionally, there were scenes done in red and blue silhouetted backdrops.  Black Mattic delivers  his lines successfully to a the viewers in fine style while ZJ Elektra confirms his lyrical dexterity with her quirky and energetic presence.  


The video for “Want You To Know Freestyle” - another track featured on the mixtape was also shot in Jamaica by Robin Chin.  The video theme was black and yellow and the scenes were brought to life with the performers also clad in the black and yellow colour scheme.  Simple but powerful, the video features popular disc jockey ZJ Elektra with two ladies on a quad performing to the song while  Black Mattic brings this freestyle video to life with the lyrical content and viewers will be hooked from start to finish.  


Another track on the mixtape which was recently released has been creating waves on the social media circuit, radio and at street dances.  The song titled  “Hero Dance” features Black Mattic, Facebook Hero & Marvin the Beast. Facebook Hero & Marvin the Beast, two of the most popular entertainers in the Jamaican entertainment industry known for their gimmicks and crazy stunts alongside Black Mattic’s easy going flow teamed up to create this dance craze.  The video is scheduled to be released in mid January.


With more than over forty (40) short tracks on the mixtape, the most anticipated mixtape which is finally here see listeners all over the world listening and posting all over social media about the lyrics and style which Black Mattic so effortlessly displays. Black Mattic: Top Striker Freestyle Mixtape Vol. 1 is  now available via  CD distribution and online sites.
